General Description

Welcome to Gasthof Kreuz, a typically Tyrolean mountain inn 271 metres above (or 2,6 Km by road from) the town of Zams. Our inn offers nine lovely non-smoking en-suite rooms with flatscreen-TV, radio-alarm clocks, lovely furnishings and relaxing views of the bucolic countryside; some rooms have their own balcony. Our restaurant offers traditional Tyrolean, regional and international fare, well-cared for wines and beers and a well-stocked bar. Our location is the very best in Zams for skiers: We are 100 Metres away from the Rifenal 4-seater ski lift and only a stone's throw from the terminus of one of the pistes of the Venet ski area with its 22 hectares of artificially snowed ski runs, 6 lifts, snowboard and childrens parks, cross country tracks and more. In summer, Zams is one of the main crossings for the most famous of international hiking and cycling trails: The E-5, St. Jacob's, Via Claudia Augusta and Via Alpina trails all intersect here, and the Inntal and Etschtal cycling paths also cross through town. Hikers: We offer a free pick-up service; when you've arrived in the valley after your descent from the Memminger Hutte, for example, just give us a quick ring and we'll come fetch you. At departure, we'll even take you back to town, e.g. to the Venet Gondola, for your next ascent. Bikers love our location because of the winding mountain roads leading to the inn as well as our secure and covered parking (available free of charge). Standard check-in time is between 15:00 and 23:00 daily except during low season when the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, check-in is possible only after 18:00 hours unless otherwise pre-arranged. From Dec. 15-Mar. 15, and during July, August and until Sept. 15, check-in is possible Tuesdays through Sundays from 15:00 - 23:00, only on Mondays is a later check in time in effect. Whatever your reason for a visit, Gasthof Kreuz offers you the heartiest of welcomes. Our international staff is multilingual, the operators speak fluent English and German. other languages spoken by our staff include French, italian, Hungarian and Romanian.
